Helicopter Rides North West

Helicopter Rides North West

If you live in the North West or about to head there on vacation you will likely be aware that there is quite a bit to see and do there. I recently went on vacation in the North West and though I saw quite a lot of pretty interesting things and had some nice food and visited the cosy pubs

that the region is famous for, there is one thing that I did on my vacation that really stood out and that was a helicopter ride. There's just something about hovering high up in the sky that really takes your breadth away and what's great is that if you are limited in the amount of time that you have to explore an area a helicopter ride means you get to see a hell of a lot in a short period of time. Now I had quite a few questions when I was first interested in trying out North West helicopter rides so if you are interested in the activity then I'm sure that you do too. Here are the answers that I found to my three biggest questions.

How much do North West helicopter rides cost?

Well, unfortunately North West helicopter rides are not cheap. They start out at a pretty startling 75 dollars for five minutes. However the longer you take the helicopter for, the lower the price per minute and there are a lot of companies in the North West that charge about two hundred and fifty dollars for thirty minutes. This may still seem expensive but first of all, you need to remember that the cost of aircraft as well as the pilot's time must be pretty expensive so I doubt the helicopter companies are making a massive mark up. And secondly, the experience does tend to be something you will remember forever so I think it is kind of worth it.

Are North West helicopter rides safe?

I must admit that I am a bit of a worrier so this was one of the first things that I wondered about. Turns out that there are some pretty strict safety regulations when offering any form of aircraft related service so you don't have anything to worry about. There are endless checks that need to be performed, the pilot is required to have adequate experience and they are not allowed to take off in weather conditions that could put the aircraft at risk. Therefore rest assured you will back on the ground in one piece.

Are there any restrictions?

There is a maximum weight for each passenger which is usually about eighteen stone. This is because the weight needs to be distributed evenly across the aircraft. There is also usually a minimum age for passengers but this varies widely from company to company. Also alcohol consumption before or during the flight is obviously strictly prohibited.

So in conclusion, I hope that I have provided you with enough information on North West helicopter rides to get you started. In my opinion there is no greater way to both enjoy and explore the region so I highly recommend that you at least look into the activity.
